Ebay item 7/11/15 www.ebay.com/itm/201385297405
Current bid US $1,675.00
Reserve not met 10 bids 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is a lovely 1978 Jaguar XJ6-L survivor!!!!! The car has only 99,511 original miles.
-She has been in California since new and is 100% rust free (body, chassis and frame)
-The engine starts right up and runs extremely well (very quiet & smooth idle)
-There are no leaks, smoke or unusual noises
-The transmission shifts through all the gears on the mark
-She steers straight and handles very well
-The brakes, steering and suspension are all in tip top condition.
-The entire drive-train is very solid and tight.
-All mechanical, electrical and climate control systems are in good working condition. .
-All windows and power options work like they should.
Cosmetically the car is completely un-restored and an attractive honest looking classic with a ton of curbside appeal.
The two tone paint finish still has some luster and looks good from a distance, however upon close inspection you will see various areas of clearcoat peeling, nicks, chips and a small dent on the passenger side door/fender (see pics). There are no other major body imperfections.
-Nice wire wheels that still look good however if you want perfection you would need to have them re-chromed.
-Beautiful original chrome trim and rubber.
The interior is in good original condition (see pics). Non-smoker vehicle. The original leather seats are nice. The passenger seat does have a few tears and imperfections. The dash is near flawless (see pics). The carpet, headliner and door panels are in excellent original condition.
While the wood is still in great shape for its age and totally presentable as-is if you look up close you will see some spider-webbing in the clear finish.
This is a very nice example and the new owner will be impressed with it's overall mechanical and cosmetic condition.
