Lot #90648
This 1977 Jaguar XJ6L is a long-wheelbase model finished in red over tan leather and powered by a carbureted 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ polished wheels, and a Concord AM/FM cassette stereo. The car is said to have been cosmetically refurbished under prior ownership and was acquired by the selling dealer in September 2022. This XJ6L is now offered in New Jersey with the manufacturer’s literature and a clean Ohio title.
The body is said to have been refinished in its current shade of red under previous ownership. Features include gold pinstripes, dual fuel fillers, fog lights, mud flaps, a power antenna, and chrome bumpers with rubber impact strips. There are paint chips around the headlights and below the driver’s door.
Polished 15″ steel wheels wear Jaguar center caps and are mounted with Dunlop D65 Touring Elite whitewall tires. A full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The car features power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features seats upholstered in tan leather, and equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, a Concord AM/FM cassette stereo, and woodgrain dash trim. The clock does not work, there is wear on the seats, and there is discoloration on the top driver’s door panel.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 60 of which have been added by the selling dealer.
The carbureted 4.2-liter inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The selling dealer notes oil leaks.
