Ebay item 5/21/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Original-presenting-Long-Wheel-Base-XJ-series-Jaguar-Nic ...
Car has a buy it now price of $11,888 for 6 days. 33k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a really pretty XJ6L Jaguar sedan out-fitted in silver grey metallic with Russet red Connolly hide interior. The overall combination presents very elegantly indeed.

The "L" stands for Long wheel-base which is 4" longer than the shorter sedan siblings. This provides considerably extra leg-room to the rear passenger compartment.

This particular Jaguar was delivered new in California where it resided most of its life and was used sparingly. For the last 2 years, the car has sat in storage.

The body on this car is quite decent with the paint appearing to have been redone a few years ago. It was not a show class repaint but a reasonably good paint job nonetheless - in its original colour. It does have some minor marks here and there but presents well. The paint is consistent and lustrous. There is some slight checking on the rear deck and a small section of the front but it does not show in photographing. The underside is clean and dry.

The interior of the car is in great condition with excellent Connolly hide leather upholstery finished in the Russet red which is perhaps better described as a "burnt orange" colour. The leather has a wonderful patina to it giving the car a very nice classic look. The seats have the "burnished" appearance much like that of an antique chesterfield leather lounge.

All the wood on the dash is original and in very good condition. There are a couple of minor hairline cracks but this is not glaringly obvious. The wood and lacquer finish is shiny, without any lifting and the wood presents rich in grain. It presents in "excellent" condition compared to the average example and I would rate it a 9 out of 10. There is no sagging or marks in the headlining. It appears to be relatively new. The carpet is decent albeit soiled and marked in some spots as you can see in the photos. The deep grain and glossy finish of the rich wood in this example contrasts beautifully with the Russet red hides - making the interior of this car very rich and inviting. All interior chrome finishes are nice. Overall she looks wonderful with a nice classic patina look.

Interior features and functions are operational including electrics - windows, gauges, lights, wipers, etc. Even the original 8-track player works! The A/C needs recharging. Everything is generally clean and crisp.

The chrome, stainless steel and bright work finishes are all good without any pitting and the rubber around the car is fine.

Mechanically, the car is good condition and the original presentation under the bonnet clearly shows that. She drives strong, changes smooth, idles steady and brakes nice and straight. She is quiet and solid on bumpy roads like a good Jaguar should be. Exhaust is good with the correct looking exhaust tips in place. The car is fitted with a set of period correct looking Cooper Lifeline 205/70-15 whitewall tires (with some 80-90% tread). This is a Jaguar that appears to be free of the usual nuances and typical issues of its age. The 33,600 miles is not verifiable but the car certainly presents as a low mileage example.

This is a 7 out of 10 driver example that would make for a gorgeous "weekender" - one that you could take to your next Jaguar meet with pride and joy.
