This 1976 Jaguar XJ12L is said to have been under the care of two prior owners before the seller’s acquisition in 2013. Powered by a 5.3-liter V12 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission, the car has been refinished in Regency Red over beige Connolly leather upholstery. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, quad round headlights, side moldings, a Leaper hood ornament, 15″ ventilated alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic climate control, and power windows. This Series II XJ12 is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body rides on a 112.8″ wheelbase and has been refinished in Regency Red. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, quad round headlights, twin fuel-filler doors, side moldings, and a Leaper hood ornament.

The 15″ ventilated alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Defender tires. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in beige Connolly leather upholstery and are complemented by burl wood accents. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, automatic climate control, rear-cabin heating and ventilation controls, power windows, and central locking. The headliner and passenger seat upholstery were replaced in 2007. The analog clock does not work, and the wood dashboard trim has cracks.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation, consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, approximately 1,700 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.3-liter V12 is equipped with Bosch-Bendix-Lucas D-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 285 horsepower and 294 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner Model 12 three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The fuel tanks have been recoated.
