Sellers description:
This is a pretty nice example of a very rare Jaguar, an XJ6C. This is certainly not a show car nor is it a trailer queen; it is a fun car to drive that gets a lot of looks when driving around.
The car was sold new in the great Northwest and spent it's time in Washington and Oregon until I shipped it to Ohio in 2007. Due to spending its formative years in the NW it is relatively rust-free. I have a lot of records and documentation for the car - including repair manuals and both owners' manuals.
I haven't driven it nearly as much as I thought I would, in part because I bought an XK8 convertible in 2010. The XJ6C runs out nice and is a blast to drive. The car presents itself pretty well, the interior is descent of its age and the paint and chrome are very presentable. All the glass is good, and the power windows work (granted, at their own pace). What doesn't work? The power antenna is no longer power, the fuel sending units, the air conditioner, and I don't have the original radio.
In 2009, I had the fuel system completely renovated - from the gaskets on the filler caps to the rebuilt carbs, including removal and cleaning of both fuel tanks. The previous owner installed a rebuilt transmission and rear-end along with other miscellaneous work. Mileage noted is a guess.
