This 1975 Jaguar XJ6C coupe was retrofitted with fuel injection and a five-speed manual transmission as part of a project completed under previous ownership in 2003 and 2004. The car is said to have then been stored in a barn until it’s 2020 acquisition by the seller, who subsequently commissioned work on the fuel system and disc brakes. Finished in black with a black-vinyl roof, the pillarless coupe is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six and rides on 15″ ventilated alloy wheels. Inside, seats trimmed in Ebony Connolly leather are accompanied by burl walnut trim and Smiths instrumentation. Now showing 106k miles, This Series II XJ6 coupe is offered with a set of 15″ Kent wheels, a spare fuel tank and exhaust system, partial service records, and a Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

The XJ6C featured a pillarless design and rode on a 108.8″ wheelbase. This example is believed to have undergone a color change to black in the 1990s. It is further equipped with a black vinyl roof as well as a Leaper hood ornament, quad round headlights, and twin fuel-filler doors. The power-operated sunroof has been disconnected, and the glass is cracked. The high beams works intermittently, and the seller notes bubbling paint near the bottom of the rear window, on the driver-side rocker panel, and on the lower doors.

The 15″ ventilated alloy wheels are mounted with 205/70 Pirelli tires. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated front disc brakes paired with solid units out back. Brake work completed in 2020 involved rebuilding all four calipers as well as replacing the slave cylinder and rear pads. A replacement steering rack was installed in 2021.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in Ebony (84) Connolly leather upholstery and are complemented by burl wood accents. The car is equipped with automatic climate control and an aftermarket stereo has been added, though the air conditioning system and radio do not work. The rear power windows require assistance to close, and rust is noted on the floor pans.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 5,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 106k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership. The speedometer and tachometer were replaced in 2004, and true mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter XK inline-six was retrofitted with a fuel-injection system and the factory automatic transmission was replaced with a five-speed manual unit as part of the aforementioned projected completed in 2003 and 2004. The right-side fuel tank and both pumps were replaced in 2020 along with the clutch slave cylinder, while a replacement clutch master cylinder was installed in 2024.

The chassis tag and stamping show the sequence UF2J51267 and UF2J51267BW, respectively. The VIN on the current Massachusetts title reads F2J51267.
