Ebay item 6/24/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1975-Jaguar-XJ6-C-Coupe-2-Door-4-2L-/281125104864
Current bid $1,200, no reserve, 5 bids 7 days left in auction. 74k miles.

Sellers description:
A Jaguar two door coupe. This car has been sitting for 25 years. The previous owner dented the front left fender and so had the fender replaced with a Jaguar OEM panel. The right rear quarter has a small repair as well. At that point he decided to repaint the whole car. To start the process he took apart the car completely. It is sitting on its suspension and it rolls and steers, but thats about all that is still on the car. And, thats where it was left. It was never painted and never progressed beyond that. The silver paint you see is the factory original. There is no visible rust on the car. The rockers are great, the floors excellent, the C pillar, the roof, nothing nowhere. If you ever wanted to build a Coupe, this would be the tub and project to start with. NO RUST. Want to bury some money in a project, start with a rusty one.

It seems relatively complete. I did not take inventory and there appear to be multiples of some items. All the coupe specific stuff appears to be there. The Motor was running when it was taken out, many years ago, but I can see a soft plug has failed on one side of it, so it will probably need to be redone. Not sure. Not sure about the transmission as well, other than it was a working driving car when taken apart.

I have a clean Oregon title and I can get all the parts into the car so it can be transported. I will mount the engine to the trans and mount them in the car. I can then put all the rest of the stuff in the car so it can be transported.

It was never painted and never progressed beyond that. The silver paint you see is the factory original. There is no visible rust on the car. The rockers are solid, the floors excellent, the C pillar, the roof, nothing nowhere. Since the photos were taken the suspension has also been removed and disassembled for renovation and the car now sits on a dolley. The wheels are "Kent" factory alloys. The car also comes with some NOS items such as tail lights and seat cushions. This is the third XJC that I have owned, I have never seen one as dry as this one...
Since I acquired the car I have sourced out Euro style 7" main beam headlights, directionals and a set of European bumpers, the rubber ones pictured are gone. all the glass is there except the windshield, (I always install a new one after paint) The engine was running when removed, I sold the Borg Warner trans as I was also planning on installing a GM T700 transmission also. If you ever wanted to build a Coupe, this would be the tub and project to start with. NO RUST. Want to bury some money in a project, start with a rusty one...

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
