Ebay item 7/8/13 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1975-Jaguar-XJC-Coupe-Johns-Cars-Chevrolet-V8-Conversion ...
Current bid $1,225 reserve not met, 4 bids 8 days left in auction. 84k miles.
Sellers description:
I have owned this 1975 Jaguar XJC since 2009, if you are looking for a well sorted XJC with a quality engine conversion this is your car.
The car has a 'John's Cars' V8 conversion, 350CI Chevrolet with a Turbo Hydro 700R4 transmission, with the latest MSD throttle body fuel injection, lots of new parts, a new aluminum radiator was installed last year.
The paint is 2 years old and so is the weather stripping. The fuel tanks were cleaned and sealed 3 years ago, the fuel tank switch over and fuel gauge switch overs were rebuilt at the same time.
2 new mufflers were installed and the sound control is great. There is a trunk mounted CD player with a remote, and a sound system that works well. All the gauges work as well as all the power windows. The A/C is sort of cold however it does need some work. The blue leather interior is in excellent condition (see photos), there is just the slightest bit of wear to the driver's side outboard seat bolster. A new headliner was installed last year. The interior smells fresh, no smoke, no musty smell, just smells like a vintage Jaguar.
The trunk is carpeted, the spare tire on original matching wheel is present. 4 new tires were installed last year, as well as a new battery.
The car drives and shifts great, brakes are very good with a new master cylinder and hoses 2 years ago.
There are two paint flaws on the roof, they can be spotted in without painting the entire roof. They're on the driver's side, I tried to point them out in the photos, but they just don't show up, they're very tough to photograph.
The tach makes some noise at low speeds, but other than that the car is very well sorted and ready to drive.
The car was originally from Arizona and is totally rust free. All the chrome is in very nice shape, some chrome was redone last year. The car was built by professionals, it was a first class installation. I have always stored the car in my heated garage during the long Minnesota winters, it has never been left out doors in all the time it has been in Minnesota.
