This 1975 Jaguar XJ12C coupe was purchased by the current owner in 1982 and was subsequently fitted with a 350ci Chevrolet V8 that is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The car was refurbished in the late 1990s and is finished in red over black leather. Features include a black vinyl roof, quad round headlights, Dayton wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, an independent front and rear suspension, front bucket seats, burl walnut trim, air conditioning, a Pioneer head unit, and power windows. This Series II XJ12 coupe is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with literature and a clean New York title in the owner’s name.
The two-door body rides on a 108.8″ wheelbase and was repainted red with a black vinyl roof in 1999. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, quad round headlights, twin fuel-filler doors, side moldings, and dual exhaust outlets. Bubbles are noted on the lower right quarter panel, with corrosion underneath. The seller’s photos date to October 2023.
Chrome 15″ Dayton wire wheels are mounted with 225/60 Toyo Extensa A/S tires that are said to be around four years old. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes, with the inboard-mounted rears said to have been replaced approximately 3k miles ago.
The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black leather Connolly leather upholstery and are complemented by burl wood accents. Interior equipment includes an aftermarket Pioneer stereo, air conditioning, power windows, and central locking. Black sheepskin covers are in place on the front seats.
The Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 3,400 miles, with approximately 50k miles added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
Power is provided by a replacement 350ci Chevrolet V8 that is topped by a custom fiberglass ram air-style air cleaner.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Cracks are present on the lower rear valance around the exhaust.
The VIN plate reads UF2G50231, while the title shows the VIN as UF2G50231BW.
