Ebay item 4/10/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Jaguar-Coupe/173864308090
Current bid: $1,005 reserve not met 4 bids 2 days left in auction, seller goldencatpublishing, 99k miles.

Seller's description:
This two-door XJ12C, based on the Series 2 version of the XJ sedan, has the 5.3 liter V12 engine and Borg Warner Model 12 automatic 3 speed transmission.

This is one of about 700 U.S. left-hand-drive XJ12Cs coupes built. It was purchased as a running car but will need a ground up restoration. It was driven to its current location in Denver from Ft. Collins, CO. The engine is currently not running due to rodent damage to the wiring. The transmission is a Model 12 which was in good operating order when parked. Available for purchase with this XJ12C are some new sill panels and some electric window bits originally purchased for an XJ6C and are identical with the 12C. Most all systems were working when the restoration sidetracked. It does have a clear title.

The Left Front, Left Rear, and Right rear, although looking rusty, passed the screwdriver test. The Right Front has a few small holes, the rest seems sturdy.

The car is located in Golden Colorado, about a half hour west of Denver.

Car returns to ebay 9/27/20

www.ebay.com/itm/1975-Jaguar-XJ12/333728473050

Current bid: $1,760 no reserve, 28 bids 1 day left in auction, seller mowog4, 68k miles reported, car now said to be in Mesa, AZ, previously in Arvada, CO.

Seller's description:

I bought this car as a parts car to my Jaguar XJ12C restoration. It is missing some minor things but almost everything is there. The body has surface rust from sitting outside for decades. Surprisingly I have not found any significant rust on the undercarriage or chassis. Even the area under the rear windows appear solid.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
