Car returns to ebay 3/9/17 www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Jaguar-XJ12-Base-/142306761526
Opening bid US $4,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auciton, seller cessna41t, car now said to be in Norcross, Georgia, 70k miles.
Sellers description:
Looking for a very solid complete early model XJ12 to restore? This is a great candidate to start from. The car is silver with black leather interior. I bought this car with the intention of restoring, but too many other projects right now and i need the space back in my garage. I don't know much about the XJ12's but will do my best to answer any questions. I have a clean Georgia title in hand. Here is what i can tell you:
Car is complete
Engine starts and runs (but rough)
Transmission seems to shift smoothly
Will need exhaust system (between the manifolds and tail pipes)
A/C compressor and hoses currently removed but have all the parts
I have a lot of brand new rubber moulding for windows and such
Leather seat upholstery is in rough shape
Brakes are very soft, so car is not currently safe to drive
Leaks oil and power steering fluid when car is running
Very minimal rust (a few areas of basic surface rust)
Frame and underneath of car looks solid and rust free
Body looks to be straight and in good shape. Paint quite faded in area
Chrome looks to be good shape
Car has been stored inside since i had it and previous owner had it stored inside as well.
Don't have original radio (someone put in an after market somewhere along the way)
