Ebay item 11/21/13 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ-73-1973-jaguar-xj-12-series-1-/370947587935
Current bid $2,024 reserve not met, 12 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
I am pleased to offer this near original 1973 Jaguar XJ12 Series 1. This particular Jaguar is a twin to one I had and sold on Ebay last June. It has taken me this long to make the decision to sell. Early on I stated that this XJ is near original, I say this because both sides have been refinished with the remaining paint being original. The paint work was done prior to me purchasing the car. The factory original Turquoise color is rare so this will probably be the only one you will ever see. The original paint is faded and cracked but still holds a shine. The interior is remarkable and very complete. It has lovely leather, free of any rips, tears or unsightly blemishes. The headliner is superb along with excellent carpets and door panels. The dash is still very presentable with all gauges working save the clock. It is very hard to find fault with the interior. The chrome is amazingly nice and it likewise is all original. There is some slight scratching on the front bumper seen only when up very close. All of the glass is original and the windshield is excellent with no chips or cracks. Well the best part is the V12. This car will run circles around a XJ6. It is smooth and ever so powerful. Mechanically there are no issues. There is some transmission fluid leakage when sitting if not driven. There is next to no engine oil leaks or coolant for that matter. This Jaguar has only been driven less than 100 miles over the last four years, so driving it a great distance could be a risk before checking all systems. It has factory A/C which is all intact but I am sure will need refrigerant, however I never once used it. The tires appear to be excellent and are the same ones that were on the car when purchased. I am listing the miles as 26949 however the title will reflect miles over which I believe was done in error but I cannot document this. Regardless it will be sold as exempt.

Sellers description:
1973 Series 1 Jaguar XJ12. Everything is original, carpets, trunk carpets etc. Recent new radiator, and nice new walnut finished dash woodwork. Everything works, windows clock, everything. Bodywork and floors are solid, but there is some blistering on rear wheel arch as shown on the photos. Chrome all excellent and original. Interior all original leather, nice patina. If I were keeping I would give the car a professional respray as paint is fading in places and glazing in some areas. Must regrettably sell as have too many cars and not enough time to give this great car the attention it deserves.
