Current bid US $1,486 reserve not met 28 bids 5 days left in auction. 77k miles.
Sellers description:
1973 Jaguar XJ12 with Chevrolet 350 V8/turbo 300 conversion. Original greensand paint. The car was delivered new on 12/06/1973 in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was then driven to California where it had its first 3000 miles service at Peter Satori Co Ltd. on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. The second owner who resided in San Diego decided at some point to convert the car to the Chevrolet 350/Turbo300 configuration. I presume a lot of impatient Jaguar owners did the same in the 1980's.
I am the third owner of this beautiful Jaguar. I purchased the car last year and spent the last 6 month rebuilding and restoring.
-New ultra performance twin cooling fan system from V12's
-New tires, shocks and battery
-New master brake cylinder
-New distributor, wires and carburator
-New steering pump and valve cover gaskets
-New rear windshield rubber gasket and soft dash
-Transmission rebuilt (warranty) and radiator recored
Speedometer cable broke, tachometer needs calibration, auxillary tachometer is installed. A/C compressor works but needs freon. Right side gas tank as well as fuel gauge are not operational. Headliner needs to be redone at some point.
The car drives and handles beautifully, a lot of power, cruises comfortably at 80mph with more power to spare.
