Ebay item 7/22/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Jaguar-1973-Jaguar-XJ12_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkpar ...
Current bid $1,225 reserve not met, 7 bids 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Series One Jaguar XJ-12
The Car has had over $10,000 worth of mechanical restoration done in the ten+ years I have owned it. Brakes, suspension, exhaust have all been re-done along with other parts. Invoices of all work done are available by request.
The car has the much prettier Daimler’s nose than the original XJ V12 grill as well as hub caps and rear emblems.

A copy of the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate of Authentication is included.

Current appraisal value is $10,000.

The car needs the interior cleaned up, some minor body work, front right headlight chrome is peeling and will eventually need replacement but is in working order.
The car needs finishing touches a few minor repairs but overall is in good Mechanical, Structural and Electrical condition. Interior need TLC and the seats are in very good condition and just need to be cleaned and a re-dye. The Speedometer and Tachometer are stuck but fixable.

The car is currently licensed and on the road. The Car drives well and the engine starts and runs well.

An excellent car that just needs some finishing touches.

Selling to make room for my new project car.

Kijiji item 10-Feb-14

1973 Jaguar XJ12 Vanden Plas/Dailmer Double Six

112000 miles

Classic chrome bumper car with a V12. This series one Jag is badged as Daimler Double Six. The car was running, plated and on the road two years ago and then put into storage. I bought the car several years ago with the idea to restore, but since lost interest and a place to store it. The car is in reasonable condition, but being sold as is, not running. It turns over but won't catch. Lots of work has been done, including a new steering rack. Buy to restore, or for parts. The car is complete. Open to offers.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
