1973 Jaguar Xj6 series I.

The Good: The car runs and drives, we recently took a trip about 60 miles. We have had it on the road and had some fun in her for the last four months or so. The vehicle is solid, but we are looking for something else now. To my knowledge the car was garage kept most of (if not all) it's life. The body is in good condition, without very much rust. The chrome looks pretty good still, and is all straight. I believe the motor to be the original. The front leather seats are in good shape, and do not have any tears.

The Bad: The motor seems to be running a bit rough lately and idling high. I think the starter could use to be replaced, as it generally takes 2 or 3 turns to get it started. I do not know how many miles the vehicle has on it as two of the gauges(speedometer, and fuel) are not working properly, and I believe that they may be unplugged behind the dash. The power windows all work, but sporadically, I assume it is a loose connection somewhere. The back leather seats have tears, and could use to be replaced.

Overall: I consider the vehicle to be in fair to good condition. The vehicle would make an excellent restoration candidate, because it would need minimal work.

I have not owned the vehicle very long, and do not know much history behind it. I am also not a mechanic, nor do I have a Jaguar mechanic at my disposal.
