Ebay item 7/23/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Jaguar-XJ6/333273976309
Car has a buy it now price of $14,995. for 6 days, seller craigwendland, 150k miles.
Seller's description:
Classic Beauty - 1972 Jaguar XJ6 Sedan. Eye Catching, Reliable, and Fun.
My dad lovingly owned/upgraded this vehicle for many years before his recent passing. Regular driver, parade car. My dad had a High Performance mid-80's Chevy 350 'vette engine and drive train professionally installed so that the car is also very reliable. No rust anywhere, and the body and engine are in beautiful condition. Wood and leather interior are also in excellent shape.
Used Summers Only. Stored in garage roughly 9-10 months of the year for many years (from late Aug-June) in Frankfort, Michigan area. Great running, and driving car.
This car gets lots of Thumbs Up from strangers and has been seen in many local parades. My dad invested a lot of time and money in this car as he always loved the Jaguar styling, but hated the maintenance of the original Jaguar engineering. He wanted a beautiful, reliable driver. The car is a creamy white paint, practically perfect, excellent chrome, and has low mileage on the new engine.
Michelin tires on classy chromed spin-off spoke wheels. New pleated leather interior installed as original, while a modern radio with USB, DISC, Bluetooth, gives excellent reception, excellent stereo sound, new rear speaker and amplifier, auto antenna. Nice wood dash layout. Electric windows.
Plenty of spare reliable power. Engine is from a mid eighties fuel injected corvette with Edelbroch headers and five speed automatic transmission, dual exhaust. Dual gas tanks with separate fuel pumps installed, switchable from switch on the dash. Top end rebuilt. The car has had a complete rebuild of the entire font end at Garfield Auto Traverse City MI. This car hugs the road.

Auction description:
Seller: IansaneCorp

Replacement Fuel-Injected 350ci V8
700R4 4-Speed Automatic Transmission
White Paint
Blue Leather Upholstery
15" Knock-Off Chrome Wire Wheels
Four-Wheel Disc Brakes
Power Windows
Kenwood CD Stereo
Private Party or Dealer: Private Party
Lot #87387
The car was repainted white during previous ownership, and the taillights have been converted from Series I to Series III-style units. Features include a Jaguar hood ornament, chrome bumpers, quadruple headlamps, tinted windows, bright mirrors and window trim, a power antenna, and dual fuel fillers. Areas of rust, cracked paint.
Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-offs and wear 215/55 Yokohama Avid Touring S tires, while a full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, independent suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. The tires were replaced in 2021, and work performed in August 2022 involved replacing the outer tie-rod ends. The seller states that the passenger-side inner tie-rod end is in need of replacement.
The cabin features front and rear bucket seats that were reportedly reupholstered in blue leather during prior ownership. The headliner was also replaced, and equipment includes a heater, power windows, a Kenwood CD stereo, an analog clock, and wood veneers on the dashboard and center stack. The left wing-window does not work, the driver’s seat shows signs of wear, and the door panel upholstery is loose.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a Smiths 140-mph speedometer and an aftermarket tachometer, while gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 54k miles, approximately 7k of which were added during current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The factory inline-six was removed and replaced with a fuel-injected 350ci GM V8 during previous ownership. External fuel pumps have been installed, and service performed in 2020 involved replacement of the alternator, serpentine belt, and ignition cap and rotor. The spark plugs, ignition cables, fuel filter, and left-side fuel pump were replaced in August 2022 and an oil change was performed. The seller states that the car is difficult to start and occasionally stalls at idle.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a replacement 700R4 GM four-speed automatic transmission that was installed during prior ownership. Corrosion is visible on underside components.
A 1995-dated Vehicle Information Label from the California Bureau of Automotive Repair is affixed to the door jamb and lists a replacement 5.0-liter V8 from a 1986 Chevrolet and indicates a displacement of 5.7 liters.
