    Ebay item 10/10/13

Car has a buy it now price of $4,444 for 6 days.

    Sellers description:
Rare black on black 1985 Jaguar XJ12 West German market car.

Fully optioned Vanden Plas V12. Includes both front and rear fog lamps, power raise/lower front seats (both driver and passenger), trip computer, rear fold down reading lamps. Jaguar tool kit.

I bought the car with around 74000 miles and the odometer stopped working at 74531. Title mistakenly reads 75231.

    Aprx 80,000 miles on car.

Ebay would not accept the European VIN which is SAJJDRLW4CC412720

Car was dispatched from Jaguar on November 28, 1984 and sold by Jaguar Deutschland GmbH.

Powered by 5.3 HE V12 and has the GM TH400 transmission.

Interior is in very good original condition with a new black headliner. Includes Pioneer iPod radio upgrade.

    Recent complete rear brake job.

Recent tune up-distributor cap, rotors, spark plugs and wire, fuel injector seals. I did remove the cruise control bellows during the tune up and it can be reinstalled easily.

Tires with less than 2000 miles.

Two sets of wheels including the original 5 Pepperpots. The current wheels are 'starfish' from the XJS series.

All windows and sunroof are working as they should be.

I just drove the car on a 50 mile highway trip.

    Issues:
Has rust bubbles on both windscreens as well as on the side panels drivers/passenger sides where sunroof drains go. The usual spots. There is no known under carriage or other rust issues

AC system is still the original.

Needs new front control arm bushings.

Bonnet hold up latch is broken. I have used 2x4 during my ownership for this.

    Trunk lock can get stuck.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
