Car to be at auction 11/23

Auction description:
Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th November
1979 DAIMLER 4.2 VANDEN PLAS AUTO
V5 present
MoT exempt
Chassis number: DCRLL3BC100126
The vendor tells us that this more luxurious Vanden Plas Daimler variant has had little use in recent years, and has only covered around 1500 miles in the last 17 years, albeit kept in very good order during this time with over £8000 of invoices for suspension, gearbox brakes, exhaust and service work. The car was registered in January 1979 - making this one of the last of the Series II models - and has had five registered keepers from new. Its last MoT expired in December 2019 after testing at an indicated 63,596 miles. As an historic vehicle though, the Daimler is now MoT-exempt. The odometer shows 63,603 miles. The well-presented documentation with the Daimler includes the V5C, undated photos of a restoration (or at least a repaint), invoices back to the 1990s, MoT certificates, and a Leyland Cars Passport to Service booklet, last stamped in 1994 at 55,349 miles.
