Ebay item 1/29/18 www.ebay.com/itm/1987-Jaguar-XJ-Special-addition/302619168104
Car has a buy it now price of $7,800 for 6 days, seller sea-char, 56k miles.
Sellers description:
Zero rust. Last year of the real Jaguars, prior to Ford and Indian takeover. Almost impossible to find in this zero rust condition. It has like new tires on like new Dayton Jaguar wire wheels and Nardi Steering wheel. It is the special chrome addition without any the usual rust around the chrome. Jaguars have head-liner issues, but in this car the head-liner is perfect and original. Another sign that this car lived in a very dry climate. I just had the car serviced, including replacing the brakes. 1987 still has the in-board brakes and they are very costly to service. I have no interior pictures, because the car is in storage, but the leather and wood is in good shape. It breaks my heart to sell this car. I have 4 other Jaguars, including another 87 VDP, but this is my baby. I am 78 years old and in poor health, with too many toys and I hate them to fall into the wrong hands...lol. I may take less without the wire wheels and the Nardi steering wheel.
