The mid-eighties Series III Jaguar XJ6 is widely regarded as one of the most elegant iterations of the XJ line, featuring a subtle but significant facelift by the Italian design house Pininfarina
By 1985, the Series III was in its prime, offering a blend of classic 1960s British style and modern features like fuel injection and improved safety
Most frequently powered by a 4.2-litre DOHC straight-six fuelled by Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and generating 205bhp and 236 lb/ft of torque fed through a Borg-Warner 3-speed automatic gearbox
This example presents very well in Cirrus Grey sitting on GKN Kent alloys with an original Buckskin leather interior and appears to be remarkably original
Delivered new to Long Beach, California in US Build Spec in 1985 and imported to the UK in 2024
The current indicated mileage of 37,039 is supported by the stamped service records and a Carfax report (36,992 in 2000)
Supplied with its original dealer book pack which appears to be complete, the original 'Welcome' cassette, incredibly an unopened cassette 'head-cleaning kit' and cloth, the 2000 Carfax report and the current MOT (no advisories) valid until May 2026
