Ebay item 9/28/12

Opening bid $2,000, no reserve, no bids 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
I acquired this beautiful Jag from the original owner way back in 2003. She was a family friend and I have known the car since new. It was serviced by the Great Britans Dealership and has most of the documentation from day one, including all service performed. This car has always been garaged . This car was her baby. There is no rust on this car and it still sports 100% of the original paint with no blisters or visible signs or any rust waiting to appear. It is the cleanest and most rock solid X J6 that I'm aware of around here. The back seat area looks as if its never been entered at all. The front passenger seat is just as perfect. The driver seat is in very good to excellent condition for its age and doesn't need any attention. The wood accents on the shift console have cracked from age but are still intact. Rear headliner is comming loose and is the only thing that needs attention as far as the interior is concerned. All four door panals still look as brand new. This car was never in an accident but has a small ding by the right tailight . Its been there for 10 years. Its not worth fixing as that would take away the all -original paint claim. The odometer shows 57 K but it was replaced by the dealer in 1993 at 60K and they put the state sticker next to the VIN plate showing the miliage when replaced so there is no funny business. The PA Title reflects the true miliage of the car and it is documented. The engine oil is so clean on the stick that you have to look hard to see the level. The AC freon leaks slowly and I have the shop recharge it every 2 years. I still have the original Jag radio in a box, but installed an AM-FM CD player many years ago and it sounds great. Nothing was cut and the true Jag speakers are hooked up to it. Brakes and tires are excellent and all lights and gauges work. I have all the manuals and the original hood ornament in the box that was never installed. They were put on by the dealer and the owner did not want hers installed but she kept it. This is an extremely clean turn key car that you can drive anywhere with confidence. Your mechanic is also welcome to come here and look at the cars. I have nothing to hide.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
