Ebay item 5/20/15 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ6-Base-Sedan-4-Door-/171793552741
Current bid US $1,225, no reserve 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is a very nice, low mileage vintage Jaguar that has some mechanical issues. Great project if you know something about these. It had been sitting for several years before I got it. The body is in great shape and looks like it was repainted at some point. The leather interior is also in great shape. When I first got it, I put in a new battery, and it started right up. It was a little rough, but I was able to drive it up and down the driveway and verify basic operation. I started to fix the little things, like some fuel leaks, and put in new spark plugs. I also noticed that there was a burnt wire in the console, which seems to be related to the power doors and windows, but I haven't traced out the problem yet.
At some point, I could no longer get it to start, and noticed that the fuel pump was not running. There was no voltage at the pump, so I changed out the fuel pump relay, and still no voltage at the fuel pump. At this point, I have too many other projects and just don't have time to continue with this one. Seems like a great project with lots of potential.

Car returns to ebay 6/30/15 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ6-/221810258249
Current bid US $1,025 no reserve, 25 bids 2 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 79k miles. Previous auction ended as sold at $1,525 after 9 bids.
Sellers description:
very clean 1981 Jaguar XJ6. Title and odometer both show 79,000 miles. Paint and interior are both in very nice shape and the undercarriage is even very clean and painted. (looks like new underneath actually) No rust anywhere on this car and has probably spent its entire life inside. It does run and drive but is in need of a tune up. I think the switches that tell the fuel pump to run and open the injectors need some attention. Sometimes I can get it to run almost perfectly with a hot wire to the fuel pump. The car will run and drive well enough to get on a trailer. It's missing the spare tire, radio and the belt for the A/C compressor. Only other issue is that the wires for the windows and sunroof seem to have shorted out at one point and no longer work. Has great compression and oil pressure.
