Ebay item 10/6/23
www.ebay.com/itm/115934329307
Opening bid $1,000 reserve not met 0 bids, 6 days left in auction, seller paytars, 47k miles.

Seller's description:
1981 Jaguar XJ6. 47K miles. Repainted about 15 years ago in original Chesnut brown basecoat/clearcoat by previous owner due to original paint cracking. Never had any body work or rust repairs as it has been garage kept its whole life. Was sitting for about 10 years when I bought it and would not start due to contaminated fuel system. I removed, cleaned and resealed the left tank. Reinstalled with new fuel pump, filter, fuel lines, fuel sending unit, fuel changeover valve (left electrically disconnected because only using left tank, right tank needs cleaning and resealing and is currently isolated) and fuel pressure regulator and fuel injection hoses were replaced.
Paint damaged around left fuel filler cap due to an attempt to protect the body work when removing tank using wrong type of tape. Original welded exhaust was cut before left resonator to permit tank removal and reconnected with a saddle clamp but can and should be welded. the rest of the original exhaust system is all fine.
Electrics and gauges all work with the exception of the rear passenger window switches (have new ones) and the rear radio antennae.
Tires are older but have very little wear and no cracking. One small dent in lower valance below rear bumper and previously mentioned paint damage. Chrome in very good condition also with only minor issues. Seat stitching starting to loosen in places but leather and carpet in good shape, headliner has only a slight sag in the sunroof panel. The A/C needs charged or updated to 134A.
This car runs, drives, stops and steers as it should but should be fully sorted before any long trips.
A box of spares and several workshop manuals that include a factory workshop manual and original owner's manual are included.
Unfortunately, recent heath issues force sale of this really solid and original (ex.paint) Jaguar XJ6

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
