Lot #196466

This 1986 Jaguar XJ6 was initially delivered to Peppers Imported Cars in South Bend, Indiana, and has spent the last two decades in Michigan and Florida. Finished in Jaguar Racing Green over Savile Grey leather, the car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof, a power antenna, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, automatic climate control, cruise control, and power windows. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2025, this Series III XJ6 is offered in North Carolina at no reserve with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Jaguar Racing Green (HER) and features a Leaper hood ornament, a power sunroof, a power antenna, power-adjustable side mirrors, bright trim, and dual exhaust outlets. The selling dealer notes a scuff on the left side of the front bumper.

The 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels are mounted with Goodyear Integrity tires, and braking is handled by ventilated front and solid inboard rear discs. The Carfax report indicates that the struts were replaced in May 2024.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in Savile Grey leather, while burl wood accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Interior equipment includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a trip computer, front bucket seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and power windows and locks. The dashboard is cracked and there is wear on the seating surfaces and carpet.

The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 115k miles. A potential odometer rollback is noted in a June 2012 entry on the Carfax report.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque. The ignition coil was replaced and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Peppers Imported Cars in South Bend, Indiana, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total amount of $34,250.
