Ebay item 11/22/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-Jaguar-XJ6-Base-Sedan-4-Door-4-6L-DOHC-Saleen-Engin ...
Opening bid $3,000 reserve not met, no bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $8,500.

Sellers description:
We are selling a beautiful, very clean 1995 Jaguar XJ6. This particular Jaguar has an engine and transmission swap. The current engine is NOT STOCK. The car has a 4.6L 32V DOHC Saleen Engine. The transmission is an older version of the 4R70W found in a Mercury Marauder. We did not do the swap and all the information we have is based on speculation by our professional mechanic. The odometer is digital and states 11,086 miles. We are unsure of the milage on the new engine and transmission, but the odometer is stock and has not been changed.

The exterior of the car is in great shape. The paint is excellent condition, with no signs of age or sun damage. The accents and stripes are all fully attached with no peeling. The chrome bumpers and accents are all in good shape. No rusting, peeling, cracking, etc. There is minor surface scratching on the bumpers, but nothing excessive or deep. There is a very small (smaller than a dime) dent on the back bumper. The black parts of the bumpers are in good shape and have a little bit more scratching, but again, no big scrapes or scratches or broken or dented pieces. The wheels are in great shape. The rims have no scratches or curb scrapes to be found. There is a bit of age spotting on the rims. The tires are in excellent shape, great tread life, and the white-walls look amazing. There is a bit of peeling on one of the front headlights, but there is a replacement with the vehicle. The foil and insulation under the hood is peeling.

The interior of the car is in amazing condition. The leather is like new, no cracking or creasing, full color, no wearing or rips anywhere. The carpet is also in great shape. No holes or upholstery issues, no stains or rips. The car has the original floor mats. The wood-grain looks great throughout the car. The center console arm-rest's mechanism is broken, but the replacement pieces are all in the center-console. There is an aftermarket pioneer stereo in the car. The headliner has no issues. The passenger side flip-down sun visor is missing the clip that holds it up.

Overall, the car is emaculate, especially for being a 1985. The car is comfortable, and really moves! The engine performs great, transmission shifts without issue.

Car returns to ebay 5/29/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-Jaguar-XJ6-Possible-Prototype-Saleen-Mustang-V8-Bea ...
Opening bid $2,500, no reserve, no bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Houma, Louisiana. 11k miles.

Sellers description:
Beautiful, 1985 Jaguar XJ6. This vehicle has been garage kept for the entirety of its life. The burgundy roof and pin-striping is custom. The interior has special wood-grain inserts and beautiful leather padding. This vehicle is possibly a prototype built by Ford manufacturing. Our reason for believing this is that the engine is a DOHC 4.6L V8, the same motor used in Saleen mustangs. It also has an automatic 5-speed transmission from a mustang. Though not the usual setup for these jaguars, the work seems to be professionally done and does not look like a typical swap.

The car runs and drives flawlessly, very powerful and smooth to drive. The 11,095 miles are original and the odometer has not been lapsed or reset. The condition of the car is basically mint condition. There is a very small oil leak. The trunk has no floor mat and and the black panel is where the battery is located. The paneling where the hood-latch is on the driver's side is hanging a bit. Other than that, this car is immaculate.

The wheels and tires are in great shape with 95%+ tread life remaining on the white-walls. The handling is smooth and it drives like any other luxury automobile should. Definitely a rare vehicle with very minor work needed. Also, there is a replacement headlight for the non-yellow front light that is pictured.
