South African Import
4.2 Litre Auto
2 owners
Imported from South Africa in 2023 where it was said to have had just two owners from new.
The paint and bodywork are completely factory original finished in the classic colour of British Racing Green with a nice patina of originality on the paintwork which has been polished through in a couple of places. Shutlines are panel fit is as it left the factory in Blackheath, Cape Town in 1971. There is no apparent evidence of any welding ever having been necessary or carried out and it is in very sound structural condition, far superior to typical UK car of similar vintage,
Mechanically the 4.2 litre original engine is present and runs very smoothly, and the odometer reads 96,318km which equates to 59,849 miles and is believed to be genuine but is not not documented.
The interior is finished in black ambla, a leather like material which was the preferred choice for seat material in South Africa when new to minimise any negative effects of the sun and heat on the interior.
