According to the vendor, this is one of just five Double Sixes of 1974 manufacture still licensed. First registered on January 1st 1975 and in his ownership since 1989, it was reportedly restored in 2000 with new sills, front wings, rear quarter panels, rear valance and new vinyl roof, resprayed and then Waxoyled. The gearbox has been refurbished and a new stainless steel exhaust fitted. In the last six years both fuel tanks have been replaced and a new header tank fitted, and the interior has been refurbished by a vehicle leather specialist - spare Gliptone dye comes with the car. For that period touch, the car is complete with a "fully reconditioned eight-track player with a few tapes".

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
