One of the most beautiful coupés ever produced - Rare left-hand drive Launched in 1968, the Jaguar XJ6 quickly established itself as the benchmark for large British sedans, thanks to its remarkable balance of comfort, handling and refinement. Available as a coupé from 1975, the XJ-C adopts a two-door body with no central pillar, emphasizing the purity of its lines. Produced over a limited period, this coupé version is today a more exclusive version of the famous XJ line. The example shown, chassis 2J50420BW, is a Jaguar XJ-C equipped with a 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine and Borg-Warner automatic transmission. Produced in the mid-1970s, this coupé version, identifiable by its two-door body with no central pillar, boasts particularly fluid, elegant lines. The paintwork is uniform and satisfying, while the upholstery displays a patina marked by time, consistent with its use. All in all, the 4.2-liter configuration of the XJ coupé reflects its refined, status-conscious character. The car was delivered new to Belgium in 1975, and francized in 1985 by its new owner, Mr. Bernard Colin. It then changed ownership twice in fifteen years, before being acquired and registered by its current owner in 2001. The odometer shows approximately 34,106 km. We have no records for this car. Mechanically, the car is in good working order, but will need servicing for optimum performance. A symbol of understated British elegance, the XJ-C combines refinement and rarity in a timeless silhouette. The description of the vehicle is based on information provided by the seller, who remains solely responsible for the condition of the property. The House of Osenat verifies their consistency. The engine has been changed in the course of its life. Please disregard the engine number given in the catalog.
