Ebay item 6/10/11 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Jaguar-XJ6-Nice-Resto-Driver-/130531815602
Opening bid $2,500, no reserve, no bids yet 9 days left in auction. 76k miles.
Sellers description:
I bought this Jag for restoration but ran out of time. Wife needs a clear garage space so here it is.
This Jag runs and does not smoke. It needs the carbs rebuilts and it idles very poorly High rpm's are fine. It moves back and forth with the gear shift. The brakes are stiff and slow to stop. The gas tanks are cleaned. The paint is a 20 footer. it needs love but looks decent as is. The body is straight however I do not know if it has been smacked. From what I can see I dont think so. Panels appear sound and the undercarriage is not worked. No Rust except very minor on back window. Electronics are good + Windows up and down all. dash lighr=ts ok no turn indicators. As with Jag, Electronics are on you. Yaaaaay Lucas. Tires are shite, they hold air and Im surprised they do that but it will get it around. If you drive on them you are crazy. Most of the chrome is straight Back bumper push on one side is knacked but fixable. I would rechrome all as there are typical pitting no rust on chrome save hub caps which are restorable. Seats are fine, panels and center console has cracks and pulling. Dash wood is wrinkled but 99% in tact. Radio is gone. The wood and top panel for the driver door is in the trunk as well as new rubber for front and rear windows with chrome trim caps. The title is California and has a non op cert filed. This car was originally Burgundy Red. Someone come take it from me and finish it. $500.00 deposit three days from auction end. Car will need to be transported and auction price excludes shipping. I will work with your carrier or other to get it to you. I do not have the means to tow it, not even one block. Cheers all, Come buy my project! No Reserve
