The vendor drove this manual XJ6 to us from Scotland via Wiltshire, and its advisory-free MOT certificate is valid until 16th July 2026.

He bought the car last year, intending to use it daily, but has now had a change in circumstances. The car comes with a large history file, including bills and MOT certificates from throughout the 1980s and '90s.

The car's Heritage Certificate indicates that VTO 117J left the factory on 17th August 1970 as a 4.2-litre manual XJ6 with overdrive, in Regency Red with Cinnamon interior, and was despatched to a distributor in Nottingham. An album of photos shows the car's restoration which reportedly took place in 1999. It was then placed into storage until 2022.

Also included is a letter from the original dealer to the car's first owner, and receipts showing that nearly £600 was spent in 2024 on parts which included steering rack bushes, ball joints and diff bearing. A stainless exhaust is fitted, and we're told the carburettors have also been reconditioned. A front ball joint and handbrake pads are included with the car, along with a couple of workshop manuals. The odometer is reading 81,130.
