Current bid $1,100.34 reserve not met, 4 bids 10 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. 15k miles.
Sellers description:
Un-restored 1978 Jaguar XJ-V12 sedan. This vehicle has been very well maintained and has had recent tires and service. This car is loaded with power steering and brakes, A/C, telescopic steering, dual gas tanks, am/fm stereo, full tool kit and spare and new leather interior.
The Jaguar 5.3 litre V-12 produces 265 hp and is matted to a GM TH400 3 speed transmission. The car runs, shifts and drives great! The car is a very solid car with some signs of paint bubbling as you will see by the pictures and a scratch at the top rear of the roof line.
The floors and frame are 100% solid and rust free! This car was a daily driver and would continue to make a great daily driver or third car.
The odometer shows 50.000 but we are assuming that it is really 150,000. At the bottom of the ad is a single picture, click that picture to open the link of the entire album of this rare car!
Condition
body: Good paint: Good Interior: Good Engine: Good Transmission: Good Tires: New
As noted in our ad the paint is in really good shape with the exception of a few areas that are showing paint bubbling. Mechanically this car needs nothing!
Previous auction ended at $1,825 reserve not met after 19 bids.

Car returns to ebay 3/16/16 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ12-4-door-/152017148027
Opening bid US $1,000, no reserve, no bids 4 days left in auction. Seller nohype!, 50k miles, car now said to be in Syracuse, New York.
Sellers description:
Jaguar 1979 XJ12 I bought three years ago was going to swap in a small block chevy and put a new 1974 jaguar front clip on it. Changed my mind later since the engine only had 50-K miles and chevy jags are a dime a dozen. I removed the fuel injection and was going to use carb set up from a 1974 jag, i have all the parts. I will not have the time to work on it for a number of more years and we plan on moving.
Notes.
1. Car has been in a low speed front end accident was like that when I bought it, I have a full front end off a 1974 that goes with it. However the existing I think could be fixed except for maybe the hood.
2. Car has newer interior, windows worked before I put it up. Person I bought it from said both gas tanks worked. Put stabil in before I put in my garage
3. Pretty rust free for a jaguar the floors are solid as well as the underneath.
4. Ran and started when i got it however the accident slightly damaged the radiator had a hole.
5. One time had and small engine fire the hood insulation is charred typical for a jag. The existing wiring harness for the fuel injection is toast. Typical long-term heat damage brittle wires.
6. The engine has 50-K ran pretty good for the brief time I ran it. I did reseal the valve covers and change the plugs.
7. I stripped the engine, unhooked the engine mounts, unhooked exhaust,
8. No frame damage that I can see doors open fine have 1974 front clip and all parts needed for front
9. I have a full carb set-up including the ignition system, two raditators one is good, and rad hose connection for carbs same linkage
10. Also includes a set set of factory rims extra from the 1974 only used two years in excellent condition.
11. Car was painted at some point looks pretty good.
12. I have title never registered it, I will if someone wants it for more than parts,.
Getting the 12 cylinder running would be quite the project however would be pretty unique when done. If not a chevy swap or a parts car. Pickup only will need a large trailer I have a boatload of parts.
