Car returns to ebay 8/1/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Jaguar-XJ6-XJ6-Series-III/183905603679

Car has a buy it now price of $16,995 for 29 days, seller europeanmotorstudiogt, 40k miles, car now said to be in Chandler, Arizona, previously Fraser, MI.

Seller's description:

European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this exceptional 1986 Jaguar XJ6 Series III Sedan finished in proper British Racing Green over Buckskin Connolly leather. After completion at the Browns Lane Coventry factory in England in June of 1986, this XJ6 was imported into the US where Reedman Automobiles, INC in Langhorne PA sold the car on July 22, 1986 to the first owner. The car then moved to West Palm Beach Florida in 1987 where it lived until moving to Michigan 2008. Always stored in doors during the winter months this exceptional XJ6 has only covered a mere 40,400 miles since new. Always serviced through Palm Beach Motor Cars in FL or Jaguar of Lakeside in Michigan, there is service history dating back to brand new present with the car. The XJ6 is draped in proper British Racing Green and wearing a stunning finish. One minor hairline crack in the paint (pictured) a couple paint chips at the lower edge of the trunk opening and one chip above one of the headlights are the only real flaws in the paint. The body is absolutely straight and rust free with original factory shut lines. The original Kent wheels are in excellent unmarked condition wearing brand new tires and all of the exterior rubber and chrome are in almost new condition. The Buckskin Connolly leather is all original and in beautiful condition. The leather is very soft with no dry spots and just minor wear/creasing to the driver bolster. The wood is in excellent condition showing obvious signs of the car being properly stored (two small hairline cracks on the glovebox). There are no cracks or shrinkage in the dash and the center console and all of the switchgear looks near new. The original carpets are completely stain free and in near new condition. The Jaguar tried and true straight six 4.2 liter engine fires right up and idles smoothly with excellent power. The transmission shifts through all of the gears with ease. The suspension is in excellent condition with a luxurious and tight ride. The steering is very tight with newer upper and lower control arm bushings and ball joints. New front rotors and pads have just been done and the rear pads and rotors were done within the last few thousand miles. All of the electrical equipment is functioning as it should including the power windows, locks, mirrors, sunroof, original factory radio, AC and all of the exterior and interior lights. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an exceptional XJ6 rarely seen in this condition. Covering a mere 40,000 original miles and having an extensive service file back to new. The original owners books and keys are all present with the sale of this car including an original sales brochure and the original service booklet with some of the early service stampings.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
